The department consist of 5 full time officers and 10 Reserves at this time.The full time officers work 4 10 hour shifts with 3 days off.

We would like to welcome our newest Chief.M.Stanley.He comes to us from the Youth Center and was a Anderson Police Officer and Asst.Chief in Anderson for 16 years.Welcome aboard Chief Stanley.

Captain Allman is in charge of all the departments training and over see's the Reserve program.He makes sure the entire department gets the training hours in that are required by the State of Indiana.The State requires 16 hours per year but,Captain Allman provides more hours that that.
Officer Tompkins has recently completed training in Scene Tech.He is now the officer in charge of any criminal scenes in our Town.

As of June 4,1998 Officer A.Ellingwood has become the 5th full time officer for Edgewood,replacing Officer Brooks who has gone to work for the Anderson Police Department.Officer Ellingwood will leave for the Indiana Law Enforcement Acadmey in January 1999,to complete the 12 weeks of training required by the State of Indiana.
