They were traveling to Fayed's apartment,
when many paparazzi's traveling on motorcycles started chasing after them
at extremely high speeds. The speeds accelerated from 85 to over
100. They collided with the Pont de l'Alma birdge running along the
Seine river. The Driver and Fayed were pronounced dead on arrival.
The car was damaged so badly that it took one hour to get Diana out.
She was conscious when she was taken to the ambulance.
We were told then that the injuries were
classified as serious, with a concussion, a broken arm, and a severely
lacerated thigh. Later we found the injuries more serious.
She was taken to the de la Pitir Salpetriere hospital. The hospital
they choose is know questioned by many people, where as there was an American
hospital much closer. When at the hospital here blood pressure dropped
severely. The pericardium or the sack around the heart had filled
with blood as a result of either the left pulmonary valve getting cut open
by either a broken sternum, or broken ribs. The pericardium started
to prevent the heart from pumping blood to the rest of the body, the fluids
then filled her lungs and had respiratory failure. They inserted
a chest tube to suck out the blood, but it did not regain the blood pressure.
After about two hours of emergency operations, followed two more hours
of emergency surgery. With manual massaging of the heart. The
36 year old princess died at 4:00 A.M. of Cardiac Arrest. The new
was know at about 6:00 A.M. to the public.
My sincere regards
to all the families, and friends, of all the people involved in this crash.
And my deepest wishes to the Princesses sons.
