Toplessness not top question at booth

While the town of Leamington attempts to prevent area women from baring their breasts in municipally-owned areas, visitors here have expressed little concern over the entire issue.
That is - except one couple from England. According to 20-year-old Kim Hill, travel counsellor at the Leamington tourist booth (Tomato), one British couple was caught off-guard when they spotted a topless woman at a gas station downtown. "They were offended by it," said Hill and were unaware Canadian law allowed women to go topless.
Other than the one incident, though, Hill said there has not been any other comments or questions related to the topless issue. And with over 2,000 visitors to the booth so far this summer, averaging about 350 a week, Hill said they are more interested in having fun in the area, dining out and buying "tomato" souvenirs.
While the majority of visitors hail from Southwestern Ontario, Hill said Michigan and Ohio are neck-and-neck for second place honors.
