Bosom buddies' bust-up

Neighbors barely speaking after backyard brawl

In a usually quiet Trenton neighborhood, things have gone from bare breasts to bare knuckles.
A battle over the right of Jennifer Fitzgibbon to doff her top while out doing yard work culminated in a catfight with her former bosom buddy and current neighbor, Heather Genereaux.
The backyard melee, which took place earlier this month, lasted less than a minute and left the pair rolling in the grass and Fitzgibbon completely nude.
It also landed Genereaux -- sick of Fitzgibbon flaunting herself in front of her 10-year-old son -- in court.
On Tuesday, she pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman who only last year she stood for as a maid of honor. Judge Stephen Hunter gave Genereaux a suspended sentence and put her on probation for 18 months.
"It's going to be a summer of hell," Genereaux, a 38-year-old factory worker said last night.
"Who knows what she'll be doing out there now."

 GET HER MAD
Genereaux believes her 23-year-old neighbor is using a court ruling allowing women to go topless just to infuriate her.
"That woman has problems," said Genereaux, noting not the least of which is substantial "sag."
Before the bust-up dust-up, Genereaux says when ever visitors would come over, Fitzgibbon made a habit of pulling up her top and shaking her breasts.
"My family won't come to visit any more," said Genereaux.
"She's flaunting herself in front of the children, including my 10-year-old son. We have old people who used to sit out on this street. Most don't any more."
Genereaux recalled things busted out three weeks ago. Insisting her neighbor had her top on when the fight began -- the victim says she was topless -- the older woman said she assaulted Fitzgibbon because she was being verbally abusive.
"The next thing I know we're on the ground."
A neighbor who watched the assault said Genereaux scaled a hedge, kicked Fitzgibbon in the stomach and "ripped her bikini bottom clear off her body."

 NAKED
A naked Fitzgibbon managed to give Genereaux a black eye in the fight. The two were pulled apart by two men and the charge was laid. But things haven't cooled down on Dixon Dr. since then or in court on Tuesday.
"I'm not against a woman wanting to go topless, but she just has no morals," said Genereaux of her best pal turned breast enemy. "And school's out now."
For her part, Fitzgibbon won't put her bra back on when she's outside, saying: "I have a lot of support. People honk and give the thumb's up when they drive by."
The Toronto Star newspaper delivery person noted her behavior doesn't confuse her own four-year-old boy, concluding: "In 20 years, it won't be shocking."
As for her neighbor, Fitzgibbon says: "What she did is break the law. I'm not breaking the law."
For those wondering what they would do if the unabashed woman lived next door to them, some homeowner will soon find out. Fitzgibbon is planning to move somewhere else come September.
Asked if she'll continue to let it all hang out outside her new place, she said: "Oh, you betcha."
