TIGHT REIN KEPT ON GAY DAY

By AARON SANDS
Toronto Sun MAPLE -- The roller-coasters were the wildest thing at Canada's Wonderland yesterday after Gay Day participants were ordered to avoid the lewd behavior that was displayed at this year's Gay Pride parade in downtown Toronto.
About 10,000 homosexuals, who came from across North America to attend the second annual fundraiser, were warned they would be kicked out of the park for displays of nudity or bondage.
The low-key event -- advertised by one small sign 20 feet away from the front entrance -- was referred to over the park's speakers as "the private function."
Many parents at the park said they didn't know it was gay day and most expressed concern over having their children there.
"We're keeping an eye on our kids," said Andy Wildsmith of Kingston, who brought his two children to the park.
  "It's definitely a concern."
Park security said the homosexual participants were tame and no incidents were reported.
The 14-hour event raised nearly $70,000 for the AIDS Committee of Toronto and the Lesbian Gay Bi Youth Line.
