KNOWN ALIASES: "Poliarco", "Capitán Felix".
DATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH: May 9, 1943. Alfamén, Province of Zaragoza, Spain.
IMPORTANCE WITHIN THE ELN ORGANIZATION: Top head of the ELN - "Ejército de Liberación Nacional (Army of National Liberation)".
CULTURAL LEVEL: Jesuit Priest.
OCCUPATION: TERRORIST & MURDERER.
IMPORTANT DETAILS: Height: 1.75m, lightly build, uses glases permanently, usually bearded; suffers from gastrointestinal disorders -probably aggravated by the battle going on within himself- and is subject to a very strict diet.
WANTED by the Colombian Attorney General's Office and a Bogotá PO Judge, for the following crimes: terrorism, rebellion, multiple homicide, conspiracy to comit murder, and blackmail.
November 1967. Arrives in Colombia through the port of Cartagena from the Dominican Republic with the priest JOSE ANTONIO JIMENEZ COMIN. Establishes contact with the priest DOMINGO LAIN SANZ, and begins his ruthless and pityless terrorist and subversive campaign. Forms an alliance with the "GOLCONDA" group of terrorist priests.
April 1968. Considered to be a threat to Colombian National Security he is deported and remains in the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain for a period of a month. He reunites in Madrid, Spain with DOMINGO LAIN SANZ and JOSE ANTONIO JIMENEZ COMIN, reestablishing contact with the ELN.
Mid 1969. Enters Colombia ilegally.
1971 onwards. Takes an active role in armed attacks against police men and unarmed dwellers: San Juan del Carare, Santander (Jul/03/1971), San Pablo, Bolivar (Jan/07/1972), Arenales, Bolivar (Jun/08/1975), La Victoria, Cesar (May/03/1977).
March 1973. Pressures and intimidates the rural population, forcing them to join the ELN movement. The strategy is designed in conjunction with the priests DOMINGO LAIN SANZ, CARMELO GRACIA and JIMENEZ COMIN.
April 22, 1982. Promoted to member of the ELN's board of directors.
January 1, 1987. Publicly anounces his intention to strike against oil pipelines, with the intention of promoting debates on the petroleum issue.
September 25, 1987. Participates in a nation wide meeting of the terrorist movements in Uribe, Meta, creating the framework of what has been known ever since as the "Coordinadora Guerrillera Simon Bolivar"
June 25, 1990. Justifies his actions against the Petroleum companies, and claims responsibility for the kidnapping of the spanish citizen PABLO MARTIN BERROCAL, abducted in Ecuador in 1989.
October 19, 1992. States the necesity of a continental fight against the United States of America, it's people and possesions.
December 1, 1992. Creates a document known as "Carta Abierta (Open Letter)" where he publicly anounces his intention to strike back at anyone who believes in a negotiated peace settlement to the armed conflict in Colombia.
October 20, 1993. Heads the ELN's 3rd Congress, where he designs strategies for the purpose of infiltrating mass movements in Colombia.
November 12, 1993. Claims responsibility for the murder of DARIO LONDOÑO CARDONA, a Colombian senator. This crime was subsequently confirmed by the "Congreso Latinoamericano por la Paz y la Justicia (Latinoamerican Congress for Peace and Justice)" an organization that unites Jesuit Priests that believe in terrorism.
March 24, 1995. In a letter to RAFAEL CALDERA, the President of Venezuela, claims responsibilty for the attack on the Carabobo frontier base. 8 Venezuelan Marines where killed during that attack.
