General Government Information
In my career I have worked for five Pennsylvania state agencies, the New York state legislature, the US Dept of Commerce, the NYC Police Department and a few college internships in city government. Thinking about all the the attempts I have personally experienced to reorganize, reinvent, redirect, implement total quality management, use performance based budgeting, and {insert favorite catchy phrase here}makes me nauseous. It's been my experience that it's just a way of avoiding any real reform. For those of you who disagree with me, this section is for you. These aren't government sites, just of interest to government officials, so I was tempted to ignore them. But a coworker and true believer in the process gave me this list. She even typed them up for me, thus here they are. I don't believe in any of these concepts, so if you want this section expanded you are going to have to e-mail me the links because I wont go look for them.
