YOU CAN CREATE DISK SPACE on your hard drive by reducing the IE cache on your home computer.
A way to recover hard disk space is to reduce the size of Internet Explorer's cache. The default size was set back when a 200 MB hard disk was considered large. Since Internet Explorer determines the cache size as a percentage of the disk size, you can cut the cache size to 1% of your hard drive. So if you have a 1.3 gig. hard drive the cache would be 13 MB.
One problem is that the smaller the cache, the slower you surf because it will dump all the old stuff and when you go back to that page it has to load from the net.
To reduce the Internet Explorer cache size, click the View menu; click Internet Options and then click the Settings button in the (Temporary Internet Files) panel or tab. When the Settings dialog box opens, drag (the Amount of Disk Space to use) slider toward the left until you've reached the desired size. Save this setting by clicking OK in each open dialog box (ok..ok...ok...).
Well I am trying out some software, IBM's voice type gold. It is interesting ....the voice command part works well you just give the command as they are: ....close ....restore .....select all...copy...paste and it does them all very well. But don't rush out and buy it just yet though, the dictation part is the fun part, it took me one hour to dictate 2 lines (even I can type faster than that). It must have been designed by someone with a "marcan" accent or something. The software is suppose to learn as you go but it learns slower than a millwright from recaust
Well, I will let you know if I get it working better.
That's all for this month
ENJOY
