A sobering reflection upon the Iraq War...

On Thursday, January 16, 2003, the assembled delegates of the National Organization of Legal Services Workers, UAW Local 2320, meeting at the National Joint Council 2003, overwhelmingly adopted a resolution opposing war with Iraq.  In doing so, NOLSW/UAW Local 2320 joined with the majority of the world's peoples in opposing the belligerent policies of the Bush Administration, and called for peaceful resolution of conflict through the auspices of the United Nations.

NOLSW remembers...

NOLSW Remembers Joe Mesar
(1949-1998)

On May 11, 1998, the legal services community and the labor movement lost one of its outstanding leaders.  Joe Mesar, NOLSW Financial Secretary, had helped lead the struggle to save legal services for the poor, and had played an indispensable role in the building of our union.

NOLSW mourns the death of  Morgan Rose

(1965-2003)

Morgan was a wonderful, energetic and dedicated Union brother who fought hard for his clients during his legal services career, and fought hard for his union brothers and sisters as an NOLSW/UAW Local 2320 Organizer.  He will be much missed and, and hard to replace.

ABOUT OUR UNION...
The National Organization of Legal Services Workers
UAW Local 2320, AFL-CIO

The National Organization of Legal Services Workers (NOLSW), UAW Local 2320, AFL-CIO is the union representing the majority of those who work in federally-funded legal services programs across the USA. We also represent workers in other types of law offices and in various human services programs. We are proud to be a chartered local (#2320) of the United Auto Workers union, through whom we join with our brothers and sisters in the American labor movement to seek economic and social justice for working people everywhere. We are also proud of our record in the leadership of the struggle to preserve and strengthen legal services for the poor.

We welcome all workers in legal and human services to join our union in this fight. If you want to organize a union at your workplace, receive information about our union, or want to work with us in the struggle to save legal services for the poor, we invite you to contact us.
