The mission of Bears 4 Kids is to take new or slighly loved bears and donate them to victimized children of internet crimes. Together, with the combined efforts Internet Watch, we hope to give a bear to these children or to a law enforcement agency that knows of a victimized child.
Many departments have already adopted this a policy or one similar. Children are able to identify more with something on their level. Therefore, they feel less threatened. This serves as a comforting tool for those children that may have to be questioned by a law enforcement official.
When a child of an internet crime is located, a special bear, will be presented to the child on behalf of the combining agencies. The form of a monetary donation may also be made to the law enforcement agency on behalf to purchase a bear.
Since we are a non-profit organization, we can only accept donations, these donations may be sent to the police department to purchase a bear directly. Donations of new or slighly loved teddy bears may also be sent directly to the agencies.
