Call Meeting to Order/Welcome Members:

Joan Wimmer, Chairperson, called the meeting to order. After calling the meeting to order, Joan welcomed all members. Following procedures adopted in September 1998, absentee ballots will be solicited from excused board members.

Approval of Minutes:

Joan asked the board to review the minutes from the September meeting to check for any corrections that may need to be made. Gerald made the motion for the minutes to be approved. Gwen seconded the motion. Minutes were approved.

Project Committee Update:

Rev. Clark reported that he has been doing follow up’s on the facilities that he had done usability surveys on to see if there has been any improvements made to improve accessibility. He found very little improvements had been made and the ramp at the Chatham City Hall has been torn down.

P.R. Committee:

The P.R Committee had nothing to report at this time

Accessible Busing:

Sidney, with the help of information from Vice Chairperson Kris Bridges, reported that the City of Martinsville has been approved funding for the first accessible bus. The order for the bus should take place immediately with the delivery around the first of 2009.

Other Business and Announcements:

After discussion the board members decided that Angie would represent the board at the up coming Department of Rail and Public Transportation meeting at the West Piedmont Planning Commission.
