 The land of Filastine means the orange groves of Haifa, the coast of Gaza, the hills of Jerusalem, Ar Ramlah, Ramallah, and the red soil of Nablus that is like the blood that moves to the heart beat of every Palestinian. Palestine, you gave birth to a people with patience and pride. My people keep up the struggle and the spirit. Let us not be like the Indian Chief Seattle and say we can no longer struggle against the aggression our culture, history, religions, and land. Despite all the travails, you have the survival of the Palestinian identity. In our region, the Arabs of the Fertile Crescent believed in freedom. The British promised the Arabs freedom from the Ottoman Empire. Alas, it was not to be, and we went from the Turkish master to the Western masters who divided our lands. It is like dividing brothers from a family and giving them to different parents. The price of this talk and lies, was the blood of our children, and the loss of our lands. Then, the British decided to plant a Jewish state, forgetting that human beings called Palestinians lived there and were part of the land. Israel used the slogan "a land without people for a people without land". South Africa’s apartheid government was the ally of the US and it used the same rhetoric. We seek to introduce to the ideas behind our peoples and our goal is and educational one to bring forth a renaissance to the Syrian region.
