CHRISTOPHE MIDOUX out of UCC 1; ELVIS SINOSIC steps up!

The Universal Combat Challenge (UCC) is sad to announce that " The French Hurricane " Christophe Midoux was involved in a serious car accident in France. This incident has left him unable to compete for the World Heavyweight Title on June 2nd. UCC president Stephane Patry had a discussion with Christophe?s doctor tonight and we were assured that Christophe?s injury however serious is not life threatening (Christophe suffered fractured (C2) and crushed (C1-C3) vertebre in his neck). We at the UCC wish this young talent a speedy recovery and the best of luck in his future.

This left UCC match makers with the unenviable task of finding a suitable replacement who was willing to fight " The Hawaiian Fighting Legend " KIMO with only two weeks notice.

We are pleased to announce that Australia's very best ELVIS SINOSIC has decided to step up to the plate for this incredible challenge and a shot at UCC gold. Sinosic has been training in Martial Arts for 18 years and has recently earned a purple belt in BJJ under Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Elvis was also a semi-finalist in the 1998 Abu Dhabi tournament and is known as being a hard hitter.

When asked about this great opportunity, Elvis replied " It?s a great honour and a dream for me to face a legend like Kimo. Each day you live your life so that one day you can live your dream. " On June 2nd, in Montreal Canada, Elvis Sinosic will have the chance to live his dream. Don?t miss this exciting international battle for the gold!

An action packed night is expected at the Pierre Charbonneau Center, please call now as tickets and travel packages are flying fast!

There is a new kid in town in the Mixed Martial Art community as a new major MMA organisation is born in Canada, The Ultimate Combat Challenge (UCC). The UCC hopes to solidify this sport as the combat sport of the new century. To do so, the organisation will strive on superior matchmaking, fighter safety and guaranteed satisfaction for fight fans around the world. The UCC fans will be guaranteed the best fights, the best action, the best fun and of course the best champions.

The UCC is the brainchild of two prominent figures in the Canadian mixed martial arts scene. "our goal is for everyone to leave our shows fulfilled, from the fans to the fighters" says Patry. Pete Rodley believes that Mixed Martial Arts is the combat sport of the new century and states "our efforts will help the sport leap to the next level…"

Athletes will travel from as far as California, Europe and Brazil to battle it out for UCC gold, and a chance to showcase their talents for a world wide audience. The UCC has also made it a point to give our local Canadian fighters a place on in history as well.
