Welcome to the Homepage of the Sam Davis
Camp 596. As a historical organization, one of our primary goals is to pay homage to our
Confederate ancestors and help educate people about the truths of our great and proud
heritage. Camp meetings are regularly scheduled on the second Thursday of the month at
7:00PM in the old Jefferson Davis Memorial Library at Beauvoir.

online... In the very near future we hope to have
all the Camps meeting dates and location listed along with any Special Event

The new page is still being created and updated, but we would like you to go to the

CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG
flies over the Mississippi Gulf once again.
57% of
Harrison Co Voters say
"KEEP the Battle Flag Flying."
GULFPORT
- A majority of Harrison County residents decided Tuesday that the
Confederate battle flag belongs at the county public beach display.
More than 57 percent, or 25,131 of Harrison County
voters, said they wanted to keep the Rebel flag at the Eight Flags display at
the Biloxi-Gulfport line. Approximately 42.2 percent, or 18,335 voters, voted to
take the flag down.
