Our history

We were never founded, we just appeared. Some of us began really early to spread out loud their opinions. However, without any kind of organization it is sometimes very frustrating to be politically active. Always stand sentry by yourself, nobody to discuss and last, but not least to be alone at demonstrations is not very smart too. After they widespread under different names and with more and more people their messages in Berlin, Germany and Europe, most people came together and searched for a final name and concept. They decided to do this step after the presidential elections in Germany 1994, because a lot of chances for good actions were missed because of a lack of organization.

Unfortunately some thought that the views were too 'peaceful' and split up in friendly terms in order to continue under a different name.

Even when the actions with the old names can be traced back to the 1992, LÖPA was just founded in 1995. The first leaflets and stickers were spread in the end of 1995. Since the beginning of 1996 we try to help small autonomous groups in some areas of Germany while showing them different action methods. In the end of 1996 we also tried to make contacts to east block countries, but they are still growing. One result is the webpage of Emancypunk! Warsaw. At this moment we are in a time of construction to be able to handle the development of the group. Because of this we made this homepage too and we hope we get lots of resonance.
