Kathikeyan Kumaraguru, your argument is irrelevant, illogical, and therefore invalid. You say that we have no right to care about unborn children only because there are children dying on a distant shore due to "overpopulation." Yes, I care about them; we (meaning most people in general) all care about them. But what you are saying is that we are not allowed to try and stop one evil in the world because there is another evil. That is like saying, "You can't stop someone from murder because you haven't stopped rape yet; neither have you stopped theft, religious persecution, domestic violence, nor even the sixth grade bully beating up other sixth graders." It is a totally irrelevant and illogical argument. There are people working to help those people who are malnourished. I wish that I could be one of them. If we all did then who would be left to tackle the problem of abortion? Or to help women deal with its after-effects or to protect the lives of those persons not yet born? Yes, people starving in other countries (and even in our own country) is a major problem. I wish I had unlimited time and unlimited amounts of money; only then could I help everyone I wish that I could help. Instead I find myself immersed in a different problem. Stop abortion and then I could concentrate my time on children overseas. Yes, we have heard of the "population boom." It is only a myth, however, that we don't have enough resources for everyone. Everyone in the world could have enough space to live in an area smaller than the state of Texas. With technological advances we are able to supply enough food to the entire world population. We (Americans) are able to do it; however, you are correct we do not. The American people, for the most part, have turned a blind eye to this fact and refuse to help. Likewise the American people have turned a blind eye to the fact that abortion truly kills a human being. Two separate problems. Again, your argument for abortion (or more pointedly, against pro-life groups) is irrelevant, illogical, and therefore invalid.
