Hi there to all those who call themselves as anti-abortionists and believe that they are saving [the] human race from moral disintegration. I have here, a word for you. Abortion may be a sin according to your books and as bad as killing a human being; but why are you so interested about tomorrow's humans when there are about a billion babies across the world starving and inching their way towards malnutritional death? Most of you don't know that you Americans live such a rich life that 65 cents a day is a fortune to a child in Africa or Asia. You can never visualize or believe the transformation you can make in a child's life with a very little effort. That ring you bought last Christmas can illuminate the life of a girl in India for an (sic) year. Can you believe that? If you have enough time, energy and money to shout against the deaths of the unborn, why are you blindly callous to the struggle of the born? Look first for the people around than worrying about the ones you don't see. How many of you who call yourselves pro-life have responded to the 1-800 numbers asking for sponsors to support a child in Africa? If you have not, what right do you have to call yourselves so? The only thing you achieve by trying to make others believe that abortion is a sin is hammer a sense of guilt and regret into a woman who has just aborted and make her emotionally fragile. Let abortion be the choice of the woman who wants it. Never condemn abortion but use it when it is required. Why should a child be born into the world if its parents cannot support it? Why should a rape or an incest victim not abort her child? Why should a woman face the emotional trauma when deciding whether to abort or not? Do not over-blow things and make her confused. Religion just outlines the code of conduct for us to live. Do not blindly try to preach and practice the things in it. Abortion 100 years ago was different from abortion now. Contraception and abortion are the only ways to tackle the "population explosion" in Asia. I will not be surprised if any one of you have never heard of such a term before. Instead of trying to prevent abortions, I would rather request you to work on minimizing premarital sex, prostitution, incest and rape. Instead of confusing women, make them feel confident about what they are doing. You will be serving them better if you do that.
