The UN Partition Resolution of 1947

This map shows the UN's plan for the division of Western Palestine into Jewish and Arab states, and an international Jerusalem and Bethlehem. The plan was accepted by the mainstream Zionists (rejected by the militant Zionists), and was rejected outright by the Arabs. If the Arabs had excepted it, they would have gotten 47% of Western Palestine. Right now the most they can possibly get through negotiations is about 23% (the Westbank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem).
