A large crowd of lunch hour folks stopped by to watch the
very animated game and learn that it's no game when it
comes to globalization and the real pearl is behind every
step towards that goal.

GLOBALIZATION JEOPARDY?

Canadians are proud of the country they have built together. They know it is the quality of life that makes this country so special, something that the United Nations has recognized year after year when it declares Canada “the best country to live in.”

Our quality of life is built on a foundation of public services. Public healthcare, public education, public utilities, and laws passed (and enforced) by democratically elected and accountable public representatives have made Canada what it is today.

But it’s all in jeopardy.

These services are under attack. Private companies know there are hefty profits to be made by selling basics like healthcare, education and water. They see the billions of dollars that can be extracted from the economy into their bank accounts by paying lower wages, offering fewer benefits, and cutting back on things like safety controls, environmental measures, and paying lower taxes. They want government out of their way. The agenda to eliminate government lies at the heart of globalization. We think it’s time people begin to fight back, stand up for democracy and reclaim ownership of the planet.
