November 29,the international solidarity day
with people of Palestine, Awlad Albalad in association with Ebal for Cultural
and Arabic Affairs, is organizing a three days hunger strike's protest,
to remind the international conscious that there are more than 3 million
Palestinians live in refugee camps and diaspora, as a result of state of
"Israel's" existence, and to protest against random arrests and
administrative detintion in Israel .
At the same time, while the international community celebrates this
day, We in Awlad Albalad, would like to remind that what is called the
"peace process" will not be a real "peace process"
unless it recognizes the right of 3 million Palestinians, to go back to
their homes and properties .
The Palestinians in refugee camps in Lebanon, especially Shatilla
and Nahr Albared camps, are living a miserable life . Many university
students were obliged to leave their universities to support their families,
for the Palestinian authority stopped the financial support to them, plus
the UNRWA has reduced its services to refugee camps . As a result of this
"peace process'" policy, many Palestinian women in Lebanon camps
were obliged to work as prostituters, in order to feed their children,
95 % of these women are martyr's wives
.
In addition, the Lebanese authority prevenets the Palestinians who
live in Lebanon from the right of work . Many graduated doctors, engineers,
lawyers, and artists are not allowed to practice their career, simply because
they are Palestinians .
At the same time, while the international community celebrates the
solidarity day with people of Palestine, we would like to remind that there
are 670 Palestinian prisoner (Administrative detainees) in Israel jails,
without charges, they are imprisoned because of their Palestinian identity,
and for their beliefss . We consider that the UN and
the ISC (international security council) and the international
human rights organizations, are responsible moraly to free them and put
pressures on "Israel" government to free them without any conditions
.
We call also, to free the two detainee's women Etaf
Elayan and Nadia Haddad, who are facing a critical
health situation in Israel jails .
Etaf Elayan, a woman who was taken 38 days ago on the road between
Ramallah and Bethlehem and placed under administrative detention has held
an open hunger strike since her detention . She is only taking salt and
water for the past 38 days, and therefore, her health situation is very
bad .
On november 29, the international solidarity day with people of
Palestine, We call the international community, the government of Canada
which is responsible for the cause of Palestinian refugees, human rights
organizations, human rights activists, and every person who believes in
humanity and justice, to voice his / her concern .
