SENATE BILL S472

TELL YOUR SENATORS
TO FREE THOSE WHO FOUGHT
TO END COLONIALISM

THE PUERTO RICAN POLITICAL PRISONERS

-The "Puerto Rican Political Status Act", House Bill 856
/Senate Bill S472 is a bill supposed to end the colonial status of Puerto Rico and determine a future status. International law, particularly United Nations' General Assembly Resolution 1514 stipulates that any genuine de-colonization process must contain as a precondition the release of all political prisoners. H.R. 856/S 472 are silent on this issue.

-The bill passed the House by one vote and is now in the Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee.

TELL YOUR SENATORS TO STOP THE HYPOCRISY AND MOCKERY. TELL THEM TO CALL FOR THE RELEASE OF THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN IMPRISONED 18 YEARS FOR FIGHTING TO END COLONIALISM, THE PUERTO RICAN POLITICAL PRISONERS, BEFORE THEY VOTE ON THIS BILL TO END COLONIALISM. USE ANY PART OF SAMPLE LETTER ON REVERSE.
