I have not yet contacted the National Council of Churches, although I plan to do so this week, and I will report back to you on whatever response I get from them. Their comments in this case are truly reprehensible, and I ask you all to make your feelings known.
On their Web site, they have information on how to contact them, including a snail-mail address and a phone number, both of which are listed below. They also have an email address, but since I'm guessing it's an autoresponder, I would avoid sending your comments there. Also, a physical letter or phone call would have more effect. I will check out the email address, though, and post it if it's real.
