A little about myself: I'm a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant, with 20 years of active duty, who left active duty on August 31st, 1998. In my career as an Aviation Ordnance Man, I worked on the A-4M Skyhawk, A-6E Intruder, CH-46E Sea Knight, CH-53E Sea Stallion, AH-1T&W Cobras, and UH-1N Huey. I deployed to Japan three times during my career, and was stationed aboard the USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7), USS Inchon (LPH-12), and USS Wasp (LHD-1) on six month cruises to the Mediterrenean Sea. I was an aerial gunner instructor on the CH-46E and the UH-1N, and qualified with night vision goggles. I participated in Operation Desert Storm, and Operation Sharp Edge, the evacuation operation in Liberia. I also participated in Operation Silver Pine; a US Marshal's Service Operation.
After retirement, while waiting to begin at the Police Department, I worked as a Corrections Officer for CCA. Quite an experience, and very eye opening. I gained a much better respect for our Jailers and Corrections Specialists.
I'm now a Police Officer with the city of Bartlett, Tennessee, currently assigned to the Patrol Division. I'm a graduate of the Shelby County Sheriff's Department Academy, and, as a Reserve Officer, spent a year assigned to the Narcotics Division, and four years in patrol. I was a Reserve Officer from October, 1993, until 1 January, 1999, when I started work full time. I'm married, with two daughters 13 and 9, a son 10, and a house FULL of pets.
