I stand upon the shoreline.
Into the sand my feet sink deep.
I stare out into the emptiness,
Wishing that your love I could keep.
As I watch in shattered anguish,
The moon crashes into the writhing sea,
Taking with it all of the stars,
Each one a seperate, distant dream.
I am frozen in desperate darkness,
Hearing the seagull's panicked call,
Longing to escape the ocean's roar,
Fearful with out your guiding light I will fall.
Trembling in the void you have left behind,
Shivering as my once beating heart becomes cold.
Still staring off the shoreline,
As a deep sadness prevades my soul.
