RSVP
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program provides
meaningful volunteer opportunties in Davidson
County for people fifty five and older. RSVP
places volunteers in over seventy different
locations throughout the county, and arranges
transportation for those who don't drive.
For more information on RSVP call (615)327-4554.
Phone Friends
Phone Friends extends a helping hand to those
at-risk children by pairing them with senior
citizens to talk to on the phone after school.
The two call each other on weekday afternoons
within the first 30 minutes the student arrives
home.
For more information, call the Phone
Friends Coordinator at 327-4551.
FLIP
FLIP is an exciting opportunity for volunteers,
children and teachers. Senior and college
volunteers are placed in public school classrooms
to serve as tutors and mentors to children
considered at risk. The children receive needed
one-on-one attention in specific subjects plus
the needed care and interest of concerned
volunteers.
For more information, call the FLIP
Coordinator at 327-4551.
