Well, what can I say... This is a custom assembled Sniper 2. I say custom assembled, and not custom made, because other than the body, everything else is aftermarket accessories that you can buy on most paintball stores. The body was custom milled...
This all started with a VERY good deal on an Autococker body kit that I found while surfing RSP (rec.sport.paintball newsgroup). If you know me, you know that I already have a very nice Custom Carter Autococker. So I decided to buy the kit to assemble myself a "custom" Sniper 2.
As you can see by the picture above, the body, back block and ASA adapter have a nice Lava anodizing, and some mill work. The anodizing is nice, but it is not perfect. Upon close inspection, I could find a few spots on the body where the anodizing didn't catch. But since these are all small and very hidden spots, I really don't care...
The body just by itself will not shoot (humor...), so I went out on the Internet to look for some accessories for it. I had some spare parts laying around, but they weren't enough. So this is what I had to buy for it, and where:
You can tell by the end result that I did quite a nice job, huh? :)
UPDATE:
Well, due to financial reasons, I was forced to sell this baby (Jun/2001). The new owner is John "Crash" Dickenson from McGregor-TX. I used to play a lot of pump games with John when I lived in Texas, and I know he'll take good care of my baby. The only sad thing is that he probably converted it into an Autococker (no more pumping). Bummer! :-)
