My Nelspot 007

This is REALLY my latest aquisition (August/2000): an old bolt action Nelspot 007. This is the first real paintball marker ever! The date on mine says 1983! Talk about old stuff!

When I got it, it was really dirty, with rust all over the place. I've stripped it and cleaned it as well as I could, but still the bolt and hammer weren't clean enough... So I decided to spend some money and get a set of adjustable LAPCO internals (bolt and hammer). A simple e-mail to Terry Garret solved my problem.

As you can see by the picture, I've also added a TASO speed wheel. Not that I need to unscrew the 12g CO2 that fast while I'm playing, but it always helps at the staging area. :-)

The brass trigger shoe is an old one that came with the Autococker. It surely doesn't look THAT nice, but I can tell you that it is VERY comfortable. :-)

The only real "mod" done to it was cutting out a small part of the body so that I didn't have to remove the sear pin every time I wanted to clean it up. This is a home-made modification that you can do yourself.

One odd thing about this marker in particular is that it doesn't have a pellet stop. Not that it was removed... It clearly didn't come with one... Maybe the bolt-action ones didn't come with it... I don't know...

When I bought this baby, I searched for information about it all over the Internet. I found some diagrams at Skanline, but the coolest thing I've found was a FAQ/Infosheet type of thing made by Friendly Fire. You can check his page right here.

How about a back bottle CA bolt action Nelspot 007? Pretty cool, huh? I have an old Nelspot DF with a back bottle CA, and I decided to try the CA on the Nelspot. Looks kinda funny, doesn't it? :-)

Now this is nice! A factory original quick changer for the Nelspot 007. I thought these were not made anymore, but still, I decided to call Nelson Paint Company to check. To my surprise, they still had these in stock, as well as a bunch of other parts for the Nelspot. And their service is very good too.

So here's the final result... Very stylish, isn't it? Oh, and in case y'all haven't noticed, the 2 last pictures show my Nelspot with a new body paint job. Actually is powdercoating. I sent it to GusDaDog for a powdercoating job, and I can tell you that he does a very nice job.
