This is one of my latest aquisition: an old Sheridan PGP. I don't have to say that I got it used, but it's in pretty good condition. It's pretty much stock, but the previous owner had it polished, both the body and the frame. He also took the bolt retention mechanism out (I don't know why), but I got them separated in a small bag.
I'm sending it somewhere (I don't know where yet) for some make up, and I mean REAL make up, so stay tuned for more on my new baby...
After some research on the web, I decided to send it to Sam Tussing for some make up. I've chosen his services because it was the fastest and most affordable. The affordable part is true, but the timing wasn't all that good AT ALL! But all the wait was worth every second, as y'all can see by the picture above. Isn't she nice? This is what I had done to it:
Well, it wasn't perfect yet when it came back from Sam Tussing, so I decided to buy some aftermarket parts and "install" them myself. As you can see by the picture above, I've added a Fasst Changer (bought from Palmer's Pursuit Shop) and a Hi-Viz sight (bought from NPBS Dallas). If you have been around the paintball community on the Internet for a while, you'll notice that it does look like someone else's PGP. (Hey Paul!).
There's still something missing (rubber grips), but that's just detail... :-)
Did I say that rubber grips are just detail? Boy, was I wrong! This is a must upgrade... It makes holding the PGP much more comfortable, and it also makes shooting it much easier. It's just a replacement for the stock grips, so anyone can do it. All you need is a screwdriver. :-)
As far as I know, the only company that makes aftermarket rubber grips for the PGP is PMI. I got mine from Skanline. After a little misunderstanding, it finally arrived, and you can see the result on the picture above.
