The FMW Report For August 22nd-September 6th

Koji Nakagawa and Hayabusa will rematch. They are not satisfied with the match. The match ending was controversial-- both got knocked down, Hayabusa got up at the 9 count. Nakagawa couldn't. But after the match was over, it was Hayabusa who was down. Besides, throughout the match, Nakagawa had advantages.

Mr. Pogo got admitted to FMW officially. FMW Wrestler's Union admitted him after seeing his 8/1 Shiodome fight.

There will be an auction for Pogo goods to be held on 8/23. The proceeds will go for the prize money for the 9/1 Nagoya show against W*ING.

FMW is requesting ideas on Masato Tanaka's new ring name.

Mr. Pogo is no longer a client of Victor Quinones, since he is now covered by FMW Wrestler's Union.

Because of the shock from Funk's repeated barbed wire bat shots after the match, the attempted tope over the ropes and from explosion and electrification, Mr. Pogo is paralyzed. It's extremely possible that Pogo will have to spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair.

Pogo is currently hospitalized in Gunma Prefecture. He's getting better, but he still needs another month of bed rest and his whole body is still paralyzed.

Even with paralyzation, Mr. Pogo says, "I don't want to waste what I have done until now, so I will go on next tour even by creeping," and it has been confirmed that he will be on the next tour with respecting his will, even against doctor's orders.

After his 8/1 Shiodome match and after Funk was finished with his barbed wire bat "shoot," Mr. Pogo announced that he would retire on the ring microphone. However, Pogo is now denying the fact that he is going to retire. Pogo says that he does not remember anything he said at the 8/1 show. So, Mr. Pogo is still in FMW as a wrestler. HOWEVER, Megumi Kudoh is out. She announced that she would retire at the 5/5/97 Kawasaki Show (if FMW has one) and that FMW pushed her to become the "next Onita" and she could not handle the injuries. Remember, she is married to Tarzan Goto. Shark Tsuchiya could be expected as the heel to turn face, since the #1 Women's Ace position is open. Remember, Tsuchiya's gimmick is based on a copycat of Pogo, and since Pogo is a face, it would make total sense for the face turn.

I will try to make this news page more graphical, IF I HAVE TIME. Right now, I need t concentrate my time on my new FMW web page, that BADLY needs work.
