The Stadium of RC Lens

Formed in 1906, Racing Club de Lens turned pro in 1934 under the patronage of the Mines Society. In 1975, the northern club lost 2-0 in the cup final against AS Saint Etienne before finishing 2nd in the league in 1977. Relegated in 1989 they fought back to be promoted to the first division again in 1991 and have enjoyed their stay amongst the elite.
