DeAngelo Williams became the University of Memphis's all-time leading rusher with his performance during Sat., Oct. 2, 2004 home victory, 41-14, over Houston. Williams gained 262 yards on the ground against the Cougars to up his career rushing total yards to 2,866, surpassing Dave Casinelli's 2,636 yards from 1960-63. His 262 yards is also a new school record for most rushing yardage in a game, breaking Paul "Skeeter" Gowen's 260-yard performance against Tulsa in 1969.
