A little bit from my past! me... me... me... me.. all the way!

1) This ones a photo of pretty little me..... when me was very very little.! That is my little brother Farhad with me. Don't we all wish we could get back at that age?.... ofcourse not !

2) I grew,( not much, though), so that is me and my big little smile at 14 in Goa.
Now Goa's a place for a perfect vacation for all those who love the beach, the sun and the sun bathing! A trip to Goa is a must, during a visit to India.

3)I did a bit of Modelling in Mumbai (that is the official name for our city Bombay) but didn't reach far with it..... (what...? with my height...? I couldn't even reach 'high'!! ) Any way.... this is a pic of me during my first photo shoot at the age of 17.

4) The modelling bug stayed with me for a while until a few months ago, when I moved from Bombay. It was nice to be pampered once in a while and the money wasn't bad either.
So it went on...... I kept smiling n laughingn looking n staringn thinkingand dreaming....... while the lens clicked away n clicked away n clicked away....... just like your mouse and you!

5) I studied Interior Designing and town planning... after which i jumped right into the field as a young aspiring designer. I was lucky though to, at my age, have a good share of client. I loved it all... the responsibility, the convincing, my marvadi clients, and their "low" budget and .... last but not the least.... the designing. It was one endless journey from one site to the other, shuffling time and clients (and.... a little bit of money too!!).

6) Interior Designing was fun but I had to have something more to do! So I took up this job at a place called Pineapple club (Naah,.. It was not a juice centre at the beach....) It was this Marketing and Event Organizing Agency. I worked there as a "Marketing Executive" ( whatever did that mean, huh?).  I did more of copywriting and artwork designs at that place. After a year I  quit..... because I could barely handle sailing in 2 boats. Yet... it sure was one hellava job; organizing Parties and other events..... working with the big wigs as clients and dealing with the creme of the society, demanding yet fun !

7) Anyway, I was one restless soul. Luckily I had my exciting hobbies to keep me from mischief. For one, I am a worshipper of the art called 'Dance'. I like any kind of dance. I have trained in one form of Indian classical dancing... called Kathak. I have put up many stage performances... in India and abroad. I also love modern Jazz ballet as much as I love to groove at the night-clubs.

8) I was never much of an athlete.... until ofcourse, I met my husband, who is a world champ in stick fighting (Martial Arts) and a Marathon runner. He is a martial arts instructor and his favourite studentsare kids. Lately, however, his only student is me and he has been training me to kick-n-punch and also been making me run for an hour and a half.... puff.... puff... Everyday!!

9) So as you must have guessed it by now..... I love to write..... and I love, even more so, to write about my favourite topic 'ME'! I like to write poems and letters (e-mail too).

10) Another Passion of mine is Glass..... I love every form of glass...... broken or whole..... crushed or curved.... coloured or plain..... every kind of glass fascinates me.... and also make me roam around demolishing sites searching for some interesting glass pieces to add to my collection. Only my friend Ash knows to what extent I have gone to replenish my broken glass collection.

11) I'm sure you just told yourself "ho hum.... what a weird hobby...?" well... wait till you see the glass earrings I make out of this collection. I make them at my own little workshop and sell them to quaint little shops at New Hope and Soho. I even give them as gifts to people I like... saste mein pat jaataa hai!

12) Besides this..... I even had my workshop in stained glass . It really is very simple.... if you want to learn ...... I can show you how!!

13) I am a total Animal lover and have spent good years of my life around dogs (all my boyfriends included) I am a member of Ahimsa.... which is associated with the Bombay chapter of SPCA. It was a pleasure being with all those homeless doggies and looking after them. I could barely call that social service.... it was fun for me! I love pups !... do you??

14) I am a vegetarian and I have another fav. pastime. Talk other people into becoming one. Besides that I have other hobbies too, like drawing, painting ... and.... haah.... I like music .... just like every other person in this world. My favourite groups are  the Bee Gee's, Air Supply and some other chosen few ones. I like the contempory ones we hear on radio daily.... and I like to keep my self updated with the latest songs back home (fresh from Bollywood).

15) I not a 'movie' buff as much as I am a 'fiction novel' buff. Yet my idea of a perfect evening would be to cozy up, with my cup of coffee  and watch a funny movie..... one which has lots of dancing and masala (that is the pet name for 90% Hindi films) mixed in! I do enjoy (OK I'm ashamed of saying this) some typical "tapori" govinda movies.
