Please read through this entire page and bookmark it as well. This note includes everything you need to know about being a member of the GTTC. Any question you have that is not answered here is probably answered in the GTTC FAQ. If you can't find your answers here or in the FAQ, please e-mail Shelley at shelleyn@charter.net.
If you have not already done so, please read the information
provided on the web page. Pay special attention to the section entitled "Tape Cheaters" and to the FAQ.
When you negotiate a trade I ask that you keep all
e-mail pertaining to the trade until it is successfully
completed. That way, if problems arise, you have good documentation.
If you have messages that you would like the entire club to see, please send them to me and I will send them out to everyone. Please insert "Club Mail" in the subject header so I can readily identify these messages.
HOW TO LET ME KNOW YOU'VE UPDATED YOUR TAPE LIST:
Send me an e-mail with a subject header that looks like this - Update: first name last name. It is VERY IMPORTANT to include the word Update because that is what signals my computer to drop that message into the updates folder. It is also very important to include your first and last name in your update e-mail.
If you do not include your first AND last name in your update e-mail, your updates will not be made. I don't have the time to search for you by your e-mail especially now that we have over 280 members in the club.
If you do not have your own page and you want to make additions/deletions/changes to the tape page I created for you, please remember the following:
1. DO NOT send me your entire list every time you make changes. Send only the additions/deletions/changes you want made. DO NOT send me updates of tapes that you are "soon to be
receiving." Send updates only when you actually have the tapes in your
hands.
When you make changes to your page, a link will be put up
under the "updated lists" section on the club homepage. All additions you make to your list will be in bold on your page. When you make additional changes, the bold will be taken off the last changes and put on the new ones. That way, people can readily identify any changes you have made.
A few notes about professionally made tapes:
You may copy and TRADE tapes that you have taped from television or that others have taped for you. You may not BUY or SELL tapes for profit.
You may collect the cost of the actual tape and the postage but that is all. You cannot charge anything above and beyond postage or cost of the actual tape.
Professional tapes may not be copied and traded. Even if someone copies a professional tape onto a blank tape for you, that is still a professional tape. You should never copy a professional tape onto a blank tape for someone and you should never accept this from someone.
Leaving the club
You may leave the club at anytime of course. If you wish to leave the club, please let me know and I will remove you from it. If you wish to leave temporarily you may do that as well. I will keep your list and your name on the club page for one year. If you haven't returned to the club within that year, you will automatically be removed.
