Soo Bahk is an ancient Korean Martial Art, which dates back many centuries ago. In 1945, Hwang Kee, a master of both Taekyon and Soo Bahk, founded the Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan in Korea.  Later on, he preferred to call his art as Soo Bahk Do to emphasize its roots. Soo Bahk Do, which became popular in the United States as Tang Soo Do, Moo Duk Kwan, is a classical martial art.
