*Unfortunately Andreea lost her lawsuit to regain her Olympic title and be taken off the doping list :-(

November 2000-

*Andreea is sueing the IOC to get her name takeing off the doping list but even if she gets her name taken off she will not get her title back.

September/October 2000

*Simona and Andreea have been given passports so that they can travel anywhere in the world without a visa

*Simona Amanar will return Andreea's medal to her at a formal celebration in Bucharest.

*There is going to be a film made about Andreea by a Romanian movie company! There may also be an English or French version! Th company paid the Raducan family 10000 $US for Andreea's story and the company say that the hardest part will be finding someone to play the young Andreea.

*1000 fans greeted Andreea when she returned from Sydney

*Romanian jewellers gave her an 18 carat gold replacement medal

*She celelbrated her 17th b-day on the 30th of September

*Simona Amanar reluctantly accepted Andreea’s medal after being told by Andreea’s father, Gheorge that the medal should come home to Romania.

* Romanian Olympic Committee president Ioan Tiriac has after defending Andreea

*Oachim Oana, the Doctor who gave Andreea the cold pills that caused her to be stripped of her medal because they had a banned drug in them has been banned by the IOC and International Gymnastics Federation until after 2004.

*The Romanians plan to sue the “institutions and persons who crushed Andreea Raducan morally”

*After 2 days, the Court Arbitration of Sport has denied Andreea’s appeal to get her gold medal back.
