October 2000
-Nique will be in the post Olympic tour!
-Dominique was unable to make Olympic team because of a knee injury. Her knee collapsed when she was training one day=(. But she was in Sydney working for Sports Illustrated and she celebrated her 19th birthday on the 30th of September.
July 2000
-Dominique came 6th at the US Classic! She got louder cheers than any other gymnast.
-After seeing
Dominique warm up at the US Classic they had this to say: "Once a long
shot, Moceanu is definitely back in the mix. Looking as fit
as her 1998 Goodwill Games-winning days, Moceanu made an impression on
those viewing practice. "This is definitely the best she's looked," a
non-partisan coach said, while watching her work out. "Maybe the best
she's looked ever."
Moceanu's own coach, Mary Lee Tracy, admits her pupil has a lot to
prove. "She's SO nervous," Tracy told IG. "She hasn't been out
here for
a while. This morning we started on beam and there was Marta (Karolyi)
looking on and I think it got to Moc -- poor kid. This afternoon was a
lot better. I really hope she does well tomorrow. She has been working
so hard, and we still have a few more weeks until championships."
Moceanu worked primarily on vault in the afternoon workout, popping
effortless Hristikievas and slightly shaky Yurchenko 1-1/2s (after
several so-so efforts she was landing them cleanly). Tomorrow's
competition will be a true test for the fully fit (though her shoulders
are still somewhat sore) and tropically tanned (thanks to post-practice
sessions by Tracy's pool) Moceanu."

website right now...However, I have them listed below, as Dominque typed them to
me herself. Please know that it is okay to post these online for others to

DOMINIQUE'S ROUTINES FOR THE CLASSIC

Beam- Well on beam i am doing a punch front mount into a jump,
a round off layout on the beam. a front on the beam into a jump and swing
down. A
leap series,, and anoher jump series to get bonus. And finish with a
double
back dismount!
Floor- Choreographed by Linda Wood, a judge and friend of the gym...Geza
Pozar did a little bit of it also. I have this Latin foor music,I like it
alot. I am doing a whip into 2 1\2 twist into punch front. Second
pass is (new) ro.off. back 1 1\2into a front roudy into a shushonova.
Third pass is a triple full. This routine ranks pretty high up there with
my other routines...It is mature, yet fun and graceful :D
Vault - Yurchenko half, and yurchenko 1 1\2.
Bars - A jump on the board straddle up half pirouette into a shapashnakova
into a back salto to toe-on half, go to high bar giant 1 1/2 into an
overshoot, uphill, then a full-in dismount. ( this is my new combination
on
bars and new dismount)

-Unfortunately Dominique didn't get highly rated at Bela's last camp=(
-Dominique plans to compete at the US Classic next month
-Dominique is on the list of 20 people that the USA Olympic team will be chosen from!

-Dominique does a lot with Alyssa Beckerman now
-Dominique is back in the "A" group after being reevaluated at Bela's Camp!
-Dominique will not be coaching at International Gymnastics Camp this year because she's too busy training

-she hasn't been re-evaluated for the Karolyi camps yet
February 2000
-Read an interview with Dominique and the other Cincinnati Gymnastics girls at International Gymnast
-AFter gymnastics, Dominique wants to act and model or go to college
-Mary Lee Tracey says wants to get Dominique re-tested for Bela's Olympic camps after that February camp! "She's looking so much more fit" Mary Lee Tracy said. "She's doing full routines, with mounts and dismounts, on just about everything. I'm so bummed she's not going to this training camp."
January 2000
-After Bela's last camp Dominique didn't get invited to the next camp, but don't worry Dominique can still be invited to future camps if she improves.

December 1999
-Dominique is now training at Cincinnati Gymnastics academy with Mary Lee Tracey
-Dominique is going to have an official website soon.
September 1999
-Her mother and sister are living in Colorado with her.
-Dominique's surgery was a success.

26 June 1999
-Dominique has been unable to train fully for nearly a month due to a sore back. She had a bone scan earlier this week to see if the persistent pain is indicative of a more serious injury, maybe a stress fracture.-Dominique was a bridesmaid at Shannon Miller's wedding. The rest of the magnificent 7, Kim Zmeskal, Peggy Liddock and Jennie Thompson were too. They wore pretty silver satin dresses.
-Dominique went to a prom
-She lifted the restraining order against her father
-Dominique won't compete at the USA - China duel as she feels she isn't ready
-Dominique has moved to the US National training centre with Luminita
27/1/99:
-Dominique and Luminiuita have moved to Rita Brown's gym in Florida.
16/1/99:
-Dominique was signing autographs at Reese's Cup
-The restraining order against Dominiques Father has been lengthened to 1 year. Domique now lives in an apartment and is training again. She hopes to get her coach Lumminita Mischenko back. Lumminita left Texas after Dominique's father fired her. Dominique has a new puppy named Sydney because she has always liked the name Sydney and because of the Olympics.
