Interview With Sarah Deegan!

Sarah's favourite colour is blue Favourite food is Ice Cream, and her favourite flavor is mint chocolate chip. Her favourite subject is Math! She likes to spend time at her cottage and go jet skiing. She has one dog named Abbey. |
She was born in Oshawa Ontario, and that is where she still lives.

Question asked: Do You Eat Fast Food?
Answer: "Not usually, but when I have to My mom always takes me to Wendy's they have good salads and Healthier things to choose from."
She trains 30-35 hours per week. Mike, Tim, and Phillip are her three brothers. Her most memorable gymnastics moment was at the 1997 Worlds, when she marched out with her team, and represented Canada. She has 7-8 Training Suits and about 6 Competitive Suits. She started gym in 1986, before that she was at the YWCA. She started competing in 1987-88? |
Her favourite song are Barbie Girl, and Mo Money Mo Problems.
She definately eats breakfast.." The odd day I don't but that doesn't happen too much. If I don't I start to feel sick later on in the morning."
She has always wanted to Have some friends over and rent a kareoke machine
If she could take a holiday she would go to Either Mexico, she has been there before and she loved it, or over to Europe, I think I would like to go to Spain or Italy.
She used to play the piano, but had to quit due to gym, but she still loves it.
Her highest scores with the new code are Vault 9.40 Bars 9.075, Beam 9.40 Floor 9.55
She attends a regular school, but only until the afternoon, and then she goes to gym.
Her favourite movies are Liar Liar, The Cutting Edge and Nothing to Loose.
She likes all first class gymnasts that there are. She likes competing on floor the most. The 1997 Elite Canada was held in Montreal Quebec Canada, in December but Sarah had to petition out due to a lower back injury. Sarah has traveled to Puerto Rico, France, Swizterland, Romania, And the states and she is hoping that list will increase over the years:) I asked Sarah about what she thought about the compulsories being taken away and her response was: "I liked compulsaries. It gave people with good basics a chance to show them off. Now some people who might not be ready to compete senior try anyways because they don't have to worry about compulsaries. But it is also easier not having to work on two different programs." |

"I don't usually rip. Even after 2 hours on bars. I guess my hands are rock now. But believe me they still kill all the time. A good thing to do thouhg is to soak your hands in warm water and use a pumace spong with soap. Then after that use some hand lotion."
