STAKER

The Ratings Staker is a method of staking your money
to maximize profits whilst reducing outlay.
RATINGS STAKER is not a Racing Selection method and is not meant to be. It is a strategy for allocating your wagers to have a certain Take-Out Value for a race, after you have made your selections by your usual methods.
The Prices used for Calculation are the
Prevailing Market Prices (Bookmaker Prices).
The principle of the method is out of a number of Selections you back your shortest priced selection as a Saver to reclaim your stake, and then back all the other runners individually to produce a profit at least doubling your Outlay.
Or put in other words commonly used I would
Save on one Selection and Dutch Bet the rest of the runners.
Providing that one of your selections wins, the worst result will be your shortest odds runner getting up, in which case you will reclaim your outlay. Any other runner winning will produce an approximately similar profit regardless of which one is successful.
Obviously this little formula will not work on every race, but when it
is employed you should expect to at least double your money on every runner except
that of your Saver. The greater the Sum of the odds of your other runners the greater the
profit to be expected. Many races will become unbettable using this formula, as the market
will be too cramped and the Odds on offer represent poor value. Simply skip these races.
Only bet on the races where you are going to get good odds on all of your Selections. On
average most punters rating races would find 2-3 races on a card that fit the parameters.
But don't dismay if on a particular day you find none.
Simply write it off as a bad value day and wait for a better day to wager your money.
THE FORMULA
1) Set the Stake Amount
2) Back the Saver to reclaim the Stake
3) Convert the other runners to Percentages
4) Subtract the Saver Wager from the Total Stake
5) Divide this amount by the Total Percentage of the other runners combined.
6) Multiply each of the other runners Percentage by this factor
"This is the Stake to back each Selection with."
I'll work thru an example for you with 4 Selections.
(although you could use any amount of runners)
Let's assume we have $100 we wish to bet across our Ratings Selections.
SELECTION 1 8/1 ($9)
SELECTION 2 7/1 ($8)
SELECTION 3 4/1 ($5)
SELECTION 4 10/1 ($11)
STEP 1
We set the Stake Amount $100
STEP 2
We outlay $20 on Selection No.3 to reclaim our Stake.
STEP 3
Convert the other runners to Percentages by dividing prices into 100
SELECTION No.1 11% (100 / 9)
SELECTION No.2 12.5% (100 / 8)
SELECTION No.4 9% (100 / 11)
STEP 4
Subtract the Saver amount from the Total Stake.
$100 - $20 = $80
STEP 5
Divide this amount by the Total Percentage of your other Selections
80 / (11 + 12.5 + 9) = 80 / 32.5
Factor = 2.46 (rounded to 2.5)
STEP 6
No.1 = 11% multiplied by 2.5 = 27.5
No.2 = 12.5% multiplied by 2.5 = 31.25
No.4 = 9% multiplied by 2.5 = 22.5
So these are the amounts to wager on each of your other selections ( rounded down to the nearest Dollar)
SELECTION 1 = $27
SELECTION 2 = $31
SELECTION 4 = $22
The RESULT is that I know have spread my $100 Total Stake across 4 selections for the following returns if any of my selections are successful.
SELECTION 1 = Return of $243
SELECTION 2 = Return of $248
SELECTION 3 = Return of $100
SELECTION 4 = Return of $242
