Sitter!
A tour of Christchurch Soccer Grounds, by Ron Griffiths (Sitter! contributor and Rangers AFC member)
"Rangers Park, (Rangers AFC) 10 out of 10:
Rangers are fiercely proud of the fact that they own their own ground and clubrooms (the other clubs in town do not). It even has its own flood lights, which give off a little bit more light than your car head lights on full beam. If there was an award for friendliest football club in Christchurch, Rangers would win everytime. From 'joke-a-minute' Rick Fitzpatrick on the gate to the 'Last of the Summer Wine' trio on the embankment. Cosy clubrooms and great atmosphere at the aftermatch function. (P.S. I support 'em but come along and see for yourself) $4 entry, $2 if a member, team sheet provided."
Ron then goes on with similar length blurbs about the other Christchurch grounds. If you want to know more you'll have to buy a copy of Sitter! or accost Ron in the clubrooms at some stage. But for the record here's how Ron Griffiths rated the other grounds out of 10:
[What no rating for Redwood Park?
Barry from Presidents B reckons it should get an 11.]
