Rules and Regulations
- Team Composition
- Teams on the field consist of five outfield players with no goalie at one time.
- You may register up to 8 players for any one team.
- All players must be registered for the team they play in.
- Teams must start the game with 5 players or lose by default.
- Equipment
- Each team must have identical colored and style shirts
- Footwear must comply with the following:
- No screw-in sprigs of any type allowed. Includes screw-in molded sprigs.
- Molded boots have a minimum of 12 sprigs on the bottom.
- No work boots of any kind are allowed.
- No bare feet.
- Playing Rules
- Matches will be 15 minutes each half.
- Games commence on the sounding of the 'Siren'.
- The 'Siren' will sound for half-time, which is a straight turnaround with no stoppage.
- Half-time and full-time will occur on the next occasion the ball goes out of play.
- If a penalty is given at half-time or full-time, the penalty will be taken.
- The referee's decision (right or wrong) is final.
- All soccer rules apply with the following exceptions:
- There are unlimited rolling substitutions, however they are to be made near the half-way line and the player must have left the field before his/her replacement takes their place.
- There are no slide-tackles permitted whatsoever.
- There are no off-sides.
- All free-kicks are indirect.
- Throw-ins will be at the referee's discretion. As long it is with two hands behind the head and it is a good attempt play will continue.
- Competition Points
- A win is worth 3 points.
- A draw is worth 1 point.
- A loss is worth 0 points.
- If teams are tied on points at the completion of competition, final placings will be decided by:
- Goal Difference
- Goals For
- Result between the two teams in competition play
- Competition Dates
The competition will run from:
- 11th October 2005 - 13th December 2005
- Christmas break
- 17th January 2006 - 7th March 2006
Draw will be posted prior to the competition commencing.
- Subscriptions
These are on a team basis and are to be paid as one lump sum. The team entry fee is $200.00 per team incl GST. Cheques are to be made payable to 'Linfield Sport'. Cash is also most
welcome.
