Despite going ahead after 3 minutes of the Mens Division 2 Cup Final, holders, Rangers (who earlier in the season retained their League title) lost, 2-1, to Avon United White. Avon equalised in first half injury time, and scored the winner with half an hour remaining.

If Steve Anngow had scored from the penalty spot, Rangers could have moved to third in Federation 6 Premier League (above Western on goals scored). However the Technical keeper saved and Rangers had to settle for a 4-0 win at Ensors Road, with second half goals to Jacob Egues, Chris Peck, Pachalo Chinula and Adam Styles. Andrew Ellis should have had a goal late on but one-on-one with the keeper put his shot wide. Bays moved to the top after beating Halswell 2-1, so Rangers remain in fourth place, now four points behind Ferrymead Bays with three games remaining.

In the Cups, Division 2 (2-0 over super-youth's Pegasus), Dipsticks (7-1 v Papanui) and Masters A (4-1 over Nomads) are through to the next round. Bays took the lead and Deane Hutchinson missed a penalty for Rangers in the first half. Midway through the second half Russell Kamo equalised getting on the end of a quickly taken indirect free-kick, a few minutes later a strong run up the middle by Andrew Ellis resulted in him putting a through ball for Pachalo Chinula to touch it past the Bays keeper to maintain Rangers third place in the League (also note that Rangers have now avoided relegation!). The table has Halswell on 37 points from 16 matches, Bays 35 from 17 and Rangers 34 from 17, with Rangers and Halswell still to play each other twice and Bays and Halswell to play each other.
