Trias-te Ronin Recruitment

Terry Sanders

It is possible to run a dojo without a connection to a karate organization. It is possible to compete in tournaments without a karate organization patch. One can self-promote and make up standards and the general public will be none the wiser. However, this existence and such actions can be quite lonely.
One of our Kondo No Shokai goals is locating Shorei-ryu practitioners. Since starting the Kondo No Shokai in 1999, many karate school operators have contacted us, some have even joined us. However, of late our growth has been stagnant. To that end, we have initiated an advertisement in Black Belt Magazine.

Attention Shorei-ryu and Shuri-ryu karate practitioners. Kondo No Shokai, an
established, rational, karate organization is seeking members worldwide.
Robert A. Trias in your sensei history a plus, but all lineages welcome.
Visit our website at www.geocities.com/kondonoshokai/ or contact Terry
Sanders, M.Ed. at t144@swnm.com for further details.

It is our hope to recruit sane and rationale people whose lives have been touched by the martial arts of O-Sensei Trias. Throughout the world "Trias-te" is taught under several names: Shorei-ryu, Shorei-Goju, Goju-Shorei, Shuri-ryu and Shuri-te. It may be found in association with other styles, occasionally with the term "kempo."

A "ronin" is a leaderless samurai. Trias-te practitioners out there who, through death or other circumstances, have become estranged from their teachers or home dojo are ronin. This is a call to them.
