Founded in 1997, Jiffy Lube FC is one of the premier non-professional soccer teams in the Washington metropolitan area. Throughout their four seasons of existance they have earned the respect of their counterparts, as well as the fear of all local bar owners.

  • Bismarck is quoted to have once said “there is nothing sweeter than the taste of victory”. While that maxim may be true, the great 19th century Prussian Chancellor obviously never played on the same soccer team as Freddy "Goes To Hollywood" Luby. If he had, perhaps he too would have been the beneficiary of the sweet, deadly accurate pass that was provided by Freddy to Paige "No Name" Luby in the first half of Thursday’s game. The pass resulted in Lubies first goal of the season, as Paige wasted no time in capitalizing on her golden opportunity. There are very few perfect plays in soccer, and that was one. The pass was perfect, and the finishing move was superb. Later, the Lubies would go up by another, as Marty “Party to Party” Luby, stabbed the opponents hearts with the team’s second goal. The Lubies defense then took over the game, as stalwart defensive plays by Jerry “Stone Wall” Luby, and Heather “Da Leather” Luby shot down every opportunity the “OVER THE HILL” team had. The Lubies went on to beat “OVER THE HILL”, 2-0. Lube Tubes go to Freddy “Goes To Hollywood”, Paige “No Name”, Jerry “Stone Wall”, and Heather “Da Leather”..
