For some hashes the grandmaster is in charge but
for Mother Hash our king-pin is the On-Sec who does everything, starts
the run ( watchout if you overtake him to the first check ), conducts the
circle, and then compiles and distributes the newsletter.
We do not have a committee as such, but a council
( of elders ) who are ex-office bearers, so when you have finished your
years duty you are entitled to sit on the council. The retiring On-Sec
becomes the senior Joint Master and takes a ceremonial role doing nothing
because the new On-Sec does everything
To avoid the council growing like topsy if you
miss three meetings without good excuse you are out.
But the On-Sec does everything, only if he steps
out of line does the council sanction him.
This happy tradition has been carried out, more
or less, by the office bearers below.
