The 2006 Season was one that became more of a challenge than anything else,a new group of players a new coach and a new ambition to which the team did not live up to this season.Losing the title on the final day to maple. Then carrying this form into the knockout where the same team Eastern Star comprehensively beat CSOS.On a brighter note Congratuations must go out to our Womens team who played this season with a renewed sense of purpose, trully showing that they have the talent and the will to achieve great things. This was proven in their victory in the inaugural BHF Indoor tournament.
The 2007 season should be another challenging one,one in which both teams must refocus and work hard to achieve the highest standards of personal and team play and in doing so reap the rewards of being champions ones again
All the best to the team for Season 2007!

CSOS Men’s Team inched ahead in the race for the Premier Hockey League Championship On Wednesday night, despite struggling out a thrilling and at time contentious 3-3 draw with a refocused determined BNB Deacons team.
Aaron Forde opened the scoring with a fine shot off the right foot into the bottom right hand corner. However Deacons came storming back with an excellent drag flick from Neil Franklin, giving the ever present keeper, Kelvin Alleyne no chance. Moments later Deacons struck again with a quick shot from the left side from Taylor. Leaving CSOS stunned as they looked to regain their composure in a game that they could not afford to lose.
However redemption came through a masterful shot from Peter Harris, beating the keeper near post with a shot which rose high into back of the net. Revitalized, CSOS looked to take advantage and came close with an effort from John Warner just going wide and Kregg Franklin who just didn’t manage to squeeze his chance passed the on rushing keeper.
The Second half commenced with roller-coaster ride of skill and questionable decisions by “official”s .Once again, late in the half Neil Franklin showed his prowess from the penalty corner with another brilliant drag flick demonstrating that he can go both side with a powerful shot into the top right had corner. Deacons now lead 3-2 with minutes to go. The character of the CSOS then shown through, heads lifted and determined to get back in the game ,rushed down into Deacons “D” earning a penalty corner. GOALLLLL!!! 3-3 tied game from an unlikely hero Ryan Williams who just got enough on a rebound to get a well earned draw.
