Please Help Farid

Hello,

My cousin Farid suffers from cancer: my understanding is that it is some type of cancer where one looses white blood cells and the only way to correct this is to receive new blood which matches his blood type. It is rare that they find his type; the routine has been that Farid goes in to the hospital and waits his turn, only to be turned away by doctors at the end of the day for lack of Farid’s blood type. According to doctors in Morocco, there is no hope for him there. This process of receiving blood will continue until either Farid’s family funds diminish, or he passes away. He needs to go to France for treatment; the doctors say. This news was given after a year of treatment that has wasted time, and resources. Farid has a brother in France who has done the leg work there and found a hospital that will treat him. However, the hospital has requested a deposit of $30,000 before any treatment begins. The hospital will also provide the necessary paperwork to ensure that Farid obtain a visa to enter France. Rachid has raised $10,000 of the $30,000 and I’m hoping to raise the rest here in the US. I know that $20,000 sounds far fetched, but if we don’t begin now we will never know if we can accomplish this goal. Anything you donate will bring us closer to the target.

I want to set an example so I will be the first to donate $350.00 to the cause. I will update the web site as I receive more funds and when we get closer to the goal I will let you know. Most of us have to pay Zakat this year and this is an example of a case where your Zakat money can go. Please donate generously to this worthy cause.
