The training log is back in action as of 12/19/95
Although not stated throughout the page, all my gains are steroid-free. The advice given in this page is for the natural bodybuilder/powerlifter, because I have no experience with steroids.
"What's the deal with this 'Weight Pit'?"
Bony Joe's Weight Pit was designed to share what I've learned through my years in the iron game with everyone else. You get a lot of advice from so-called gurus who could hardly lift more than my mother (she benches 105, by the way). I'm not afraid to post what I can lift, as well as how I got those lifts. I fell in love with iron from the minute I first started lifting, around 12 years ago. Although I consider myself a powerlifter, bodybuilding has been close to my heart from the beginning. While I spend 3/4 of my time in the gym at either the power rack or the bench, I still enjoy working the hell out of my bi's every now and then. So if you like to heave a little iron from time to time, or want to learn how, come in and see what the Pit has to offer.

Check out what's new at the pit. All updates except the training log are listed here.
A few articles on things relevant to training. I just hear so much bullshit around that I thought someone should tell it "the way it is".
I've put on a few pounds of muscle in my time. Gym-tested ideas on how to put on muscle. There's a beginner section, an advanced section, and my own experiences with various routines.
Do you want to know what science says about training? Well, here it is, for what it's worth. Don't let some "expert" or commercial tell you what training science is up to- Read what the researchers think. Abstracts of research sorted by topic.
Bony Joe's best of the web, plus a few other decent sites thrown in for the hell of it. Is your favorite site one the the best? If I think it is, I'll put in on with a short review.
Power and Bulk. If you enjoy getting strong, want to be strong, or just like being an asshole, we have a home for you. Serious discussion of strength sports and beer drinking.
