The Bowie Lightning is a boys (boys born after August 1, 1986) soccer team which plays in the first division of the National Capital Soccer League. The team is affiliated with the Bowie Soccer United Soccer Club. In March 2001 we won the PWSI Icebreaker. In June and September 2001 the team won the Bowie June Classic and the Fairfax Labor Day Tournaments respectively. In February and June, 2002 the team won the Tricounty first strike tournament in Charlotte and the Bowie June Classic.The team is coached and managed by Jim Baker and coached and trained by Jonathan Pascale, who is also the assistant coach of the Georgetown University soccer team.The Lightning is a very competitive team which is always looking for new players.
