Kenny Rogers started his career in the 60s band the First Edition and had numerous hits including "Ruby". By the eighties Kenny had branched off and become a successful entertainer on his own and released numerous cross over albums that topped the charts. One of his biggest hits was the "Gambler" which lead to the making of a movie based on the song.
