- Team Corporates theme hits and all of team Corporate comes down to the ring except Vince and Stephanie. Shane gets up and starts babbling in the mic until Shamrock takes the mic away, very upset. He said that Vince said Team Corporate was a family and if so, then where was everyone when Ryan was kidnapped? Shane takes the mic back and says that he is in the same situtation, he then calls out Vince and Stephanie. Vince and Steph walk down the aisle with the police. Vince grabbed the mic, and said that he doesn't know what this is about, but it better be preety damn good. Shane said that all Vince focuses on is Stephanie and he also focuses too much on putting JR back at ringside - he said if he was boss, he would fire JR on the spot. Shane then says that he is going to fire someone tonight, someone who spent 30 years in the making - he then looked at Pat and Brisco, and fired them on the spot. Vince said that Shane is on a
power trip and he was going to take Stephanie and go home. Shane grabbed Vince and said he wasn't done talking to him and Vince tries to exlain to Shane that in order to have power, you have to have respect. Shane then says "Respect this", as he slpas his father in the face. Vince (w/ Stephanies pleading) just walks away from him and backstage. As he is walking away Shane says "You're not my father no more, you arn't even known as Mr.
McMahon to me anymore. You will be known as Vince." Shamrock gets upset and begins to argue with Shane before walking backstage while flipping Shane and the rest of the Corp off.
- Sable (w/ Nicole Bass) vs. Tori vs. Ivory vs. Jaqueline (w/ Terri Runnels)
Women's Title
Bass chokeslams everyone before the match even starts. No one wins, because everyone runs off before the match even begins.
- Austin comes out and asks the crowd "If you're ready for Backlash, gimme a hell yeah." He goes through his whole speach about Shane better not screw him over at Backlash or else he would "whip his ass". He demands that the Rock come out right now and gives him his custom made belt, or he will drag his candy ass down to the arena. Then up on the screen come sthe Rock in front of the very same bridge that Austin threw his IC belt in. The Rock demands that Austin must come and find him in order to
have his peice of trash belt.
- Paul Wight vs. Christian
All of the Brood comes down to the ring until the Undertaker comes over the PA to tell Edge and Gangrel to go back to the back, and that Christian must fight this battle alone in order to prove himself. Christian tries punching Wight, but throws him around and wins the match in no time at all.
- Bad @$$ vs. Val Venis
The match goes back and forth for a while...BA comes back with a few punches, then does a nice back supplex. BA then gets thrown out by Venis. Jarrett and Hart come down the aisle, and start attacking Gunn. Venis comes and helps out Gunn. Road Dogg comes out to help also. Debra was in the ring and starts to look at Venis. Venis starts trying to impress her. Owen and Jarrett tell Debra its time to go, and drag her off to the back. The match ends up as Gunn winning by DQ.
- Jarrett & Hart w/Debra vs. The Acolytes
